I think Link's not going for the girl is also part of Ninendo's idea of us "imagining ourselves as the hero". You could say that Link is interested in whoever we want him to be, but he's bound by his duties to save Hyrule. That's why fanfictions for Zelda exist. That is how we the players imagine Link when we play the games. Link is straight if we want him to be and gay if we want him to be.

I do personally go with a straight Link though (only really since Navi is a girl). He doesn't exactly seem like the type to go chasing after guys to me.

Zerudas right by the pure of heart thing, but I still would rather see Nintendo encouraging a sort of relationship. It gets so frustrating... I mean its like "Who does he like?" I never get it. But then again like Sir Calibur said, thats what the FanFiction is for. But I'd rather have it be Canon. *sigh*

The LoZ games are all about how Link saves the world from some evil force. He's just doing what any good Christian would do, first saving the world then getting the girls. He plans in advance; he could do one or two girls while the world was crumbling around him, or he could save the world and do any girl he likes untill he's too old to get it up. Link's not dumb you know.

Actually, you could use that same explanation for TP Link. He was probably too in love with Midna to notice other girls.

Your logic is flawed. Why do you think Navi left? They didn't get along. Besides... Theres a pretty awkward size difference there.

Once again, it's all in the imagination of the writer (me, for this example) of the fanfic. And who's to say Zelda wasn't actually responsible for Navi's departure. For all we know, she could have goaded her into doing it as Sheik (which she did within my fic) by repeatedly reminding her of their size difference.

Yes, but that bears no relevance to Zelda's actual canon storyline. You see where the conflict arises.

Zelda's canon storyline is very limited and dull, as are Link and Navi's. If my claim she is responsible for Navi's departure is seen as untrue, so could yours about Navi and Link not getting along. It's all a matter of opinion.
