I have searched all of the walkthroughs I can find, but there is nothing on how to get the statue down from the ledge at the top of the elevator room. Someone please help, I have tried everything and I am ready to start the game over now. I have been stuck on this for two days now.

The ledge is at the very top of this room and I have no idea how it got up there in the first place.

What you need to do is push the lever clockwise once (twice if you're on the ground floor). You should now be with the giant statue. Move the statue onto the elevator then move the lever counter-clockwise. When you get to the ground floor, kill the baby spiders. It's best if you kill them with the statue.
