Since Super Mario 64, I guess... He says things like 'mama mia' and stuff.
Super Mario Sunshine's got some voiceacting, for every important npc in the game. Totally got Bowser wrong, too.

I loved how they did Midna's voice (the jibberish). I was disappointed that they didn't do that for everyone though. A lot of the characters were lacking because they had no voice to them really.
