| | | I put all of my poems into my first thread. I'll post more into it, so check back every now and then if you want to read the new ones. Maybe I'll post them first, then after a week; paste them into the first thread. Yeah; I'll do that.

| | Wow! Those are all simply amazing poems! You thought of those off the top of your head? You surely have some sort of gift. In fact, you inspired me, and I've already come up with a few verses for a poem I am making up!
Okay, I am now going to add the poem I just thought of at the top of my head. It, in no way, links directly to any character. More like knights/ medieval fantasy heroes in general. The closest person, though, is Link in this case. Alright, you cold just say Link, but it might sound awkward in some cases. Also, I used your comparison about the Sand and the Hourglass breaking. All credit for that original idea goes to you. Alright, here goes, and I'll edit this post if I come up with any more new good ones... My life can be compared with that of sand
Always ticking, falling, grain by grain
The Hourglass breaking upon the confrontation of The Evil Hand
Exists a Code of Chivalry I must abide
As I fight with Sword and Shield at my side
Sometimes I wonder as I fight
Try as I might
If this fighting is actually getting me closer to ending the kingdom of this plight
And as the Battle ends upon the sight of the dawn
I wonder if this darkness will soon end
Or if the Twilight will linger on.
So, what do you think of that one? It's obviously not nearly as good as your poems, though.

| | | That's awesome. Who's poetry inspires your line schemes? Mine come out a lot like Edgar Allen Poe's and Lord Byron. Either way, you're very good. You should post some more.

I thought you were talking about the creator of this threads poems until I saw thet thanks you gave me. I actually don't read that much poetry, rather than the three Shel Silverstein collections awhile ago, and those are very lighthearted (some might even call them kiddy *gasps*) and not the type of poetry being used here. I do want to get into it more, though. I am very interested in literature in general, and I do enjoy writing in my free time (I have that poem, a story that is curently four pages, another story, Super Paper Mario Review, PLya that one a one-act playwriting contest, cancelled perfect ten Twilight Princess review, ect. all in Microsoft Word), but poetry ideas don't come to me nearly as oftem as story ideas.

| | | Cool. By the way, I started the thread, lol. Anyhow, poem ideas don't really come to me. I just sit there and think about something, then try to express it in a way that ryhmes. If you have a good vocabulary and good knowledge of poetry in general, it's not hard to do. Trying to build poems around concepts is too difficult for me. I suppose I could if I wanted to, but I don't bother.
The pawn is pwned, and all have known, since dawn; the thrown, was gone to those, that drone about pwnage, like scones and lomez, and kramer and jujubees, elaine stopped for these, on the way to see ''me''!
Hahahaha, see? Just say anything, as long as it ryhmes, lol.

| | | The motto for the day is ''never'', never let the sinner explain, the jungle stays planted in the cat, and nothing will really ever change. Sometimes we fall, and make mistakes, but if your theory does hold true; if you've ever done anything wrong in your life...... what does ''that'' make you?!?
I guess we all do bad sometimes, make a quip and pay the price, we laugh we cry, we live we die, but ''learning'' is really lifes true spice. So now I know ''to each their own'', and what works for one won't work for all, but I'll never be accepted in the crowd again, because ''my'' mistake was the worst of all.
That time you pulled your puppies ear, or the time you broke the lamp, isn't the same as a joke that was lame, guess ''me'' making it; was the thing that was bad. If it was you, all the world would be blue, but for me it'll always be red, becasue I'm the whipping boy gone wrong, you're all saints, and I'm ''messed up'' in the head.
Apologies could ''never'' be enough, cause the wolf has teeth, and you sheep are scared, that if you let him grow, and accept him back, he'll bite again because ''wolves are weird!''. That's just what we do huh? We never repent, we never become a good seed for the field. Once a sinner always a sinner, and since ''all'' have fallen short..... I guess we'll never be healed.

| | I'm terrible at writing poems.. i recently had to write a poem about spring for English class, and i thought it was okay, but my teacher thought it was extremely lame..and it was. And the sad part is that I tried my best. Andrew, i love your poem! | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
