Prophet's Inner Monologue [Possible Spoilers]

So I just beat TP in 40 hours and I must say this was quite the experience. TP was a grand revisit to the land of Hyrule and I must say this could have been almost as good as OoT though I dont like to judge the two together as they are both AWESOME.

So as I was playing I took some mental notes about the different dungeons and stuff like that and here in no particular order;

First of I just want to say this... I hate Water Temples. I dont care if you rename the Zora Temple or any kind of crap like that. I was stuck in one part of the Water Temple for at least a good 5 hours. Screw you Water Temples, Screw you.

On the same note, a big thumbs down to the Sky City. Dont try and trick me into thinking a city is the Air Temple. I can see the Air Temple ness from the ground you A-Hole Oocca. How the hell are you the closest to the Gods? maybe literally, but I dont the Hyrulian Gods are half human half chickens... I got stuck in the Sky City within the first hour I was in it. I basically never saw the switch that helped you turn off one of the fans that lets you get to the next room. When I did finally see it, I kept shooting at it with the bow and arrows and even tho I realized that the arrows werent gonna make it through the wind, I KEPT SHOOTING!!!! I went throw God only know how many arrows before I thought that this wasnt it and I scoured the open parts of the Sky City to look for something else. 2 hours later, the family goes to KFC and in accordance I too said, "Kay, F this Crap" and left for another hour before attempting it again. In the hour and a half we were gone eating (met some people and we stayed at KFC for WAY too long <~random fact), I thought of all the possible things I could do to hit that switch after realizing that switch had to be hit to do whatever it was i needed to do to get forward in the level.... Arrows, out of the question... Ball and Chain, too heavy, probably won't work... hmm, what has enough weight to get through the wind but light enough to fly that far... hmm,

Duh!

The entire level is based on the Clingshot.

So when I got home I hit the switch with the shot and sure enough I made it through the Sky City (Air Temple knockoff) with relative ease...

P.S. Screw you too Air Temple, you and your Twilit Dragon Argorok who was easy to beat once I realized you had to climb those obvious towers....

Also there was the Temple of Time and the Temple of Twilight.... Temple of Time last time I checked you were just used to house the Master Sword using three stones that were placed in the Forest Temple, Fire Temple and Water Temple (and as much crap as the Water Temple/Zora Temple cause me, I deserve a shiny stone dang it...) Not having to 1) move some statues back the original places they were standing even though they were standing there when you got there. Since when did that statue move around behind me? Also, after 5 attempts at the first move of this dastardly evil puzzle I realized you can only move two places on the first move or those statues crush you.... that pretty much makes the first move easy to decide. Also, since when did the Temple of Time all of a sudden have a door in it that transported you back to the original Temple of Time or a Temple of Time that was built later on. Stupid statues. Stupid Spider. Stupid.... nope gotta admit the way you beat the spider was pretty awesome. *Squish* then chasing around that Eye Spider and his buddies as the last hit... funny...

And the Twilight Palace... screw you. All I had to do was get two shiny things away from the creepy hand that wanted to take your balls of light... Since when was the Twilight Palace a lost section of the Phantasy Star Universe???? Too many things in the Twilight Palace that looked like that Ruins level of PSO...

---And now a Public Service Announcement to all residents of the Twilight Realm and Shadow Creatures ---

The residents of Hyrule would like to ask for their bridges back. We don't know what your issue is, maybe you think stealing our bridges and placing them in the middle of nowhere is funny... some kind of practical joke so that we have to go all the way to Zora's Domain or the long way through Hyrule Field to get to the other side of the Eldin Bridge to the hidden village but its not funny and not cool. If you suffer from Shadow Peer Pressure just realize this.... If your shadow creature friends steal a bridge, would you do it too just cause everyone else is? Thats what I thought.

Stop Stealing Our Bridges!

and now you know and knowing is half the battle *chime*

Overall though, this game was great even as a once through without any kind of FAQ or guide (thats how I do games like this, I play once through no matter how lost I get and then after I beat the game, my contact with Spoilers and Guides is allowed so I can see what I missed.

Speaking of missed, I realized that there is a third armor slot next to the Zora Armor and the Hero Tunic.... did I miss something?????

Also... I never realized that the huge piece of rock placed in the middle of the Gerudo Desert was the Eldin Bridge... I knew it looked familiar but unless I had fought that retard goblin dude on top of it, It may have clicked. So after I write this, Its off to restore that bridge and go to the Cave of Ordeals. Since I beat the game, I figure I'll just use my save from in front of the Hyrule Castle, I'll go from here and start looking for stuff I missed since I already have 30 some Poe Souls and only need one more Howling Stone. (Speaking of Howling Stones, at least ONE of them was hard to find.)

Speaking of Howling Stones and another thing that stems from them, I love how that Howling Stone thing leaves a little speculation as to a few different things. My theory without any credibility is that the Skeletos Warrior/Light Wolf may be the former Hero of Time/Link from OoT. This is said again, without any credibility and without getting the last Hidden Skill and without the Golden Wolf that I had no idea existed.

Also I must give Kudos to the development/design team for placing hints at the WW game in the structure of certain things. The Mirror Chamber for example is in WW as a temple (or something) and I didnt realize it until I was at about the 4th Howling Stone and realized that the songs we were howling were not only the old Ocarina songs (again, a duh moment that kept feeling familiar) and that the scenes in the back ground were tied to the song we were howling, i.e., Bolero of Fire has Death Mountain in background etc. Again I say this without fully realized what each song sounds like for sure but I'm pretty sure this is how it works.

So thats my experience with TP after a straight shot with no FAQs or Guides and a 40 hour out of a supposed 70 hour game.

P.S. this may come off a bit weird seeing as how it is and that I am a guy and that its just a game, but Midna was such a sweetheart. Came off mean at first but was truly so much better than that stupid Navi. I am kinda bummed that Midna was such a cool character with so much story and all that, but won't be back as far as we know as a game character.

As a general tip if ya don't know what to do in dungeons the first thing ya should do is use the dungeon item. Like almost every puzzle in almost every dungeon can be solved using the dungeon item, it's a recurring thing.

Another good rule to memorize that might help ya out is that if something's there it's usually there for a reason. Ya don't see many red herrings in Zelda games, there are a few but not many.

Ya can usually figure those kinda puzzles out too by working backwards with math and logic, I find it's lots easier than working forward 'cause whenever I try to work forward I have no idea what I'm doing lol.

Yeppers, ya can get new wear if ya fund the bridge repair then Malo's shop in Castle Town. If ya wanna bring the price down talk to the Goron that looks kinda Rastafarian after you fund the bridge, and do the hot spring water side-quest, then you save 1800 Rupees which is good.

Just so ya know ya might wanna beat the Cave of Ordeals twice since it's harder the 2nd time. Oh and if ya wanna get the silver Rupees this video guide will probably help ya:

Ya also howl the game's main theme like Wind Waker, and songs from MM like Oath to Order, Song of Healing etc.

It probably wasn't 70 hours 'cause ya didn't explore very much. I beat it in 70 hours 'cause I explored everywhere and did a lot of stuff.

I don't think it's weird to become attached to Midna, I think it's a sign of a healthy imagination actually and anyone that would call ya weird for that is probably insecure.

Oh yeah and if you're interested in seeing some neat tricks and glitches in the game this page might interest ya.

Yeah just to prove how rushed i was... not only did I beat it in 40 hours, which is relatively quick for a non-Speed Run, but last night after I wrote this enormous post I went back and got the last Howling Stone and realized that the Magic Armor existed and could be actually bought by funding the stores last few Rupees, I also went back and replaced the Bridge of Elrin so that I could get in the Cave of Ordeals and let me just say this, At the time I didnt have the Giant Quiver and only two bottles to work with, so fairies were limited and I had NO money so I couldnt get any of the supplies like Arrows or Bombs that I needed so for the first few attempts I went through with nothing but a sword and shield and only made it to the second fairy level just before you enter the third fairy level and got beat down by those darn ghost rats that slow you down and you never know are there and their cursed rat friends.

(for the record, I have actually taken more overall damage from those rats than I have from any other enemy in the game including my run-ins with Zant, Ganon, or any other Boss, because the rats have a kind of
'continuous attack' so that you cant attack them midway through their own attack animations, so i could never get a hit on them.)

Also, SexyZora for replying to nearly every point I made in that post. Don't let the way that sounded think that I was a complete idiot and didnt realize stuff like the dungeon item, or things like that, its not nearly as retarded as it sounded. I actually did pretty well and didnt have near as much trouble as that might have led on, it was just that I really did get stuck for 5 hours in the Water Temple in the main room and its surroundings trying to figure out how to get the water started. Most of the times I was stuck was because I never saw a stalagmite on the ceiling I could knock down and progress so I kept going back and forth before I realized it was something so simple as looking UP. that was my main problem, once I realized how you got the water flowing and how things started to repeat themselves in the temple, it wasnt all that hard. Thats why I hate Water Temples so much tho, they are excrusiating when it comes to ever getting the water to flow right but once you do, the manipulation of the water makes the rest of the temple so easy. Same thing with the Air Temple, its usually one switch or something you just dont remember to do that makes you get stuck. Like when I was in Sky City, I got stuck at the top of the main room when you need to stop the fan cause i forgot you could put on your Iron boots to activate switches that you hung on, and even after I did get the fan stopped, it never occured to me that you had to hang all the way down through the fan from the grate to hit that next switch to turn on the outer fan.

Oh well. Now its on to get some silver rupees and a bigger wallet so I can buy me some Magic Armor and all the rest of the things I missed before I beat the game again and then start a fresh Quest to have it all as a once through 100% game.

wow theres alot of big post here...

this line sounds kind of funny of what you said (in bold)

"And the Twilight Palace... screw you. All I had to do was get two shiny things away from the creepy hand that wanted to take your balls of light... "

ya a few things that you said there , i also have to agree.

like the very starting of the game when you first meet zelda and midna says "twilight princess" (to zelda) that kind of didnt surprise me and i knew that couldnt of been right. so i thought midna was the twilight princess but she was so mean to link, didnt care about anything but the fused shadows and getting back at Zant. but when you got the last fused shadow, she seemed happy but then zant comes and steals them away and hurts link, she seemed kind of sorry and then she gets hurt and then link is turned into a wolf and pretty much saves midna, along with zeldas help. but after that i just stoped thinking about who i thought was the twilight princess. ending of the game was so sad... like i kind of felt a connection there...

the sky temple was alright the first time, the temple had some random kind of rooms ( reminds me of the shadow temple in OoT because in the shadow temple alot of the rooms where really random, none of them really connected.) but the second time through, i enjoyed it, just loved using the double clawshots, i felt like spiderman but just with claws!

the twilight realm was creepy! the part when you had to get the solos (balls of light) from the hands, just scared the hell out of me, i was serously on the edge of my seat when playing because i didnt exspect what would happen! im like that like almost everytime i play that part.

I really liked the temple of time, i thought i was really cool but the first time i played i got stuck when you get the new weapon because i never knew you could use the statue's hammer! so i was stuck like that for hours! until somebody told me on this site that you can use the statue's hammer!

I also did notice the songs you sung as a wolf sounded almost the same as the songs you played in OoT. i always thought that the teacher was the old link from OoT because he knew the moves of the hero! and he turns into a wolf just like you do(you become the new hero and you turn into a wolf as well)

I hated the water temple in MM but OoT was alright, kind of got anyoing changing the water level like a million times.. but i think TP water temple was great, it did really confusing me the first time like i all did the first time was pull a bunch of leavers until i got to a good room!

Ocariana of Time and Twilight Princess are definaly the best zelda game(s) ever made, Link to the Past is also a great zelda game as well.

wow this is such a long post
