Well, I've posted pics of this in another thread, but thought I would start a dedicated thread in case anyone was thinking of making one. If you would like to make one like this, I will try to explain the process. For now, I will just post the pics and brief descriptions, so if you want more details let me know.

I want to thank SexyZora19 for providing me with the in-game pictures that allowed me to see how this was constructed. Without his help, I wouldn't have been able to make this since I couldn't find what I needed anywhere else. Thank you!!

Ok, I don't have pics of it, but I started out on this project by making a duct tape "mould" of my head. Using that "mould", I made a pattern and cut it out of thick leather.

This was prototype number one, made from the first pattern:



I made changes to this pattern and came up with prototype number 2:



I made further changes to the pattern and came up with prototype number 3,which ended up being the final proto:

Ok, after I cut out this last one, I soaked it in water and began the shaping. Here's some pics of how that progressed:

I made my own leather armor ( just the chest ) when I was going through a sword fighting phase.

Thanks! I'm still pretty new to this, so I haven't made a breast plate yet. I've made a couple pairs of leather spaulders, a pair of leather bazubands, and one other leather helm based off of a Vendel find. I've done even less in steel, but I have done one pair of spaulders and a few shield bosses. There's a local armourer who's helping me, and I also get alot of help from the people on the Armour Archive. Since I've gotten so much help from people, I thought I would try to give something back. The folks on the 'Archive aren't really into fantasy stuff, but I thought some people here might be interested.

You've obviously put a lot of work into it and it's really paid off. It looks fantastic! Be sure to post some pics of the rest of the Armour as you make it.

Thanks! I will be sure to post pics of the rest of the pieces if I get that far. I'm kinda taking it one step at a time, so we wil see how it goes after I get this done. I want to try to make it all, including the boots, but my ambition may exceed my skill level. :)

Taking it one step at a time is a great way to do it! Sometimes people rush stuff they do and it comes out like crap, the finished product's always nicer if ya take your time.

The headpiece is looking awesome as always by the way!

The breastpieces take a long time, so make sure to rent a movie and free up some time.
