| | | Thanks so much! I appreciate all of the support. :)
Although I appreciate the sentiment VERY much, I don't think I will go the donation route. It's not abosultely necessary that I make this, and it's not a life threatening situation, so I wouldn't feel right accepting donations. However, I may make an extra helmet to put up for sale to help cover the costs. I want to finish this one first to see how it comes out, then I will begin to think about making one for sale.
It's really great that you all would be willing to help though, and like I said, I appreciate it very much!
Well, I've got more patterning work to do so I had better get back to work. I want to get all the patterns done and get all of the pieces cut out so I can make one trip to my mom's to use her sewing machine. Or rather make one trip to have HER sew it for me on the sewing maching 'cause I don't have a clue how to use one. :)
Thanks again,

| | | Lol same here. As long as I get what I want, im happy! Unless the price is outrageously high, then I wont buy it.

| | | Well, if I put it up for auction, I would probably start it at around $50. There's quite a few hours of labor in this as well as materials cost. If I charged minimum wage per hour of labor, the price would skyrocket, so the $50 would represent a below minimum wage price. That is the problem with this kind of thing - you hardly ever get a decent hourly wage from selling something hand made.
I doubt I will list it for less than that (if I list it at all), and if it doesn't sell, I have until October to save up for the rest. I guess I didn't plan all of this too well. :) I was so anxious to make it once I got the idea, that I didn't think too much about the costs. What can you do though? When the muse gives you inspiration, ya gotta go with it!
