does anybody here know how i can make a 3d zelda game or atleast a 2d one? i wanna make one really badly cause me and my friend are going to gather a whole bunch of our other friends and try to make our own zelda game. please we would like to know what kind of software to even make a basic zelda game

Learn C++ programming, then how to model in Maya, use Photoshop CS2 to make some seamless textures, and then you can have a 3d Zelda game!

Alternatively download that crap program known as gamemaker for a 2d Zelda that will:
a) suck
b) really suck

There is no easy way to mimmick any game from the series as they have all had months and months of development with a lot of people working on them.

Plus, thats illegal, as Zelda and all the other characters are copyrighted.

Come on guys, there are TONS of free Zelda games out there. There are quite a few for PSP anyway, and a quick search on google brings up tons of results...

that is illegal its called copy writting a little suggestion though is to make it like zelda only have the names different (zelda is a nintendo product and is illegal to make copys of without permission by the company you can tell becuss on the game cass after zelda it shows the circled R meaning it is registered and illegal to make copys of. i hope i dont sound like a nerd)

it would be cool to make a zelda game but man that would take a long time to do! hope your all doing it on different computers , thats probley the only fast way, each friend works on one part of the game.

yea that's how we're going to do it is on seperate computers and yea that's a good idea of making a zelda game but have stuff diffrent like names,places,maps,bosses ans so on...but yea i hope we do a good job and if it ever gets made i hope people enjoy playing it

Leave Zelda to Nintendo. We've seen what happens when other people try and get make a Zelda game. Have we not all heard of those CD-i games?
