I found a glitch that lets you skip the Snowpeak shadow beings.

Since beating the shadow beings is the trigger to disperse the fog, if ya do this you can have the fog until you don't want it anymore.

This lets you get one less portal too, I know there are some minimalists that play this game so maybe this would be fun for them to try?
