In the older games Link's hair was BROWN. They chose the girl to play as link because no one else looked the part. And this is a JAPANESE commercial filmed in JAPAN You're not going to see many white people there. Besides, who said that Link was even human?

BEST commercial by the way! Wayyy better than the US one...
