That's pretty accurate. In fact if it were judged with all the games released since 2001 I'd call it game of the millenium (2000 had some good ones like Perfect Dark that hold that title in contest)

Gameplay winning over graphics? The gameplay was the best but what game do you know with better graphics that could have competed? Dash through the field across some water at dusk and tell me what game can beat that graphicly (not counting DOA volleyball)

TP shold have won game of the year award and i'm glad to hear it did.

Nintendo's plan of increasing the gamplay experience over graphics has payed

off and i think its a great way to go and how Nintendo are going to win this

tp should have won, but i dont think it deserved it.

all the games coming out recently have been a bit lame. its been a long time since i've found a good, worth-while game.

but tp was most definately the best game this year.

It won game of the month in IGN.
AND game of the year.
And it got a ten out of ten...
And on the second opinion it got a ten out of ten...
And Nintendo got publisher and game designer of the year in their, too, which it deserved...
Twilight Princess being one of the main reasons...
Link got hero of the year...
Zant got 2nd best villain of the year...
And the mailman even got number 9 dork of the year...
Oh, and not a single first-party game from Nintendo was on top 10 worst games of the year, unless Poke'mon games count...
Wii won over PS3...
And Overall all the next-gen cosoles...
And Nintendo had the least dissapointments in the year...

Simply Amazing.
