Exclamation Twilight Princess+Donnie Darko

Has anyone here heard of the thing with The Wizard of Oz and Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album? You know watching them together and the mood and sound of the music seems to match up with the movie. I found one for part of Twilight Princess. I was listening to the Donnie Darko soundtrack while playing the other day, I was at the part where you help the third light spirit, the song mad world(the song at the end of the movie) happened to come on just as the spirit was giving me the vision. It matched up with the scene very well and decided to show someone else, when he got to the part i started it a few seconds late and it matched up with the scene as perfectly as darkside of the moon matches with the wizard of oz. If you decide to try this for yourself a sign that you got your timing right is when you hear a phrase in the lyrics about "familiar faces" within a few seconds of Ilia apearing in the vision.

lol, alot of people have reported hearing certain music they were listening to synching up, or matching up to cutscenes. For some reason, my my first play through, I can't listen to music outside of in-game audio. I only listen to music while playing games if I absolutely get bored of the soundtrack or hate it.

I love synching up music to random things, myself. I do it all the time. Mad World is particularly easy to do it with because of the range of its tune.

I'm with AcidRain in not being able to listen to music other than the in-game music (unless the soundtrack is particularly dreadful), but that is a really interesting sync-up with that cut scene. It sounds like it would match up a lot better than that Pink Floyd stuff though because, really, aside from maybe the part with the tornado, I didn't really see the rest of the album fitting with the Wizard of Oz at all.

With the Wizard of Oz, the timing has to be near perfect, I think you have to make sure the first song starts at the MGM lion's third roar. Some people see it but some people don't. I usually do listen to in game music but I sometimes just get in the mood for something else.

Most people just aren't good at picking music that universally fits inside of the game they're playing. Another good one is Sound of Silence, by Simon and Garfunkle, also, Scarborough Fair, the symphonic Metallica, almost anything by John Williams.
