| | | I'll tell you in 3 weeks. I don't get it for 2 and need a week to play it a bit. I'm hoping I can give it 9 or 10.

| | | 9. Yeah, it's beautiful and all that, but the bosses are way too easy when you compare them to the originality of the bosses in OoT or even MM.
Also, no amazing music like I expected. Where did my orchestra go?! >_< Most of the music is redone OoT stuff...beautiful, but not that special touch which makes you go "oooOOOOO..." like when you heard it the first time in OoT.
Or maybe I just convinced myself too much that this game would be amazingly spectacular and set myself up for the fall. Don't know. |

| | | I would rate it a 9/10. The game hasn't reached massive awesomeness for me yet because I haven't gotten a chance to play it a lot and what I have played of it has some flaws that I would like to fix. My opinion/rating of the game will probably change as I play more of it though.

| | | What we must remember is that we are rating TP against every other game, not just other Zelda games. So what may seem a trifle out of place in the game must be compared to every game ever, from GoldenEye to Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero. I think it probably deserves a 9 in Zelda land, but realistically, we're looking at a masterpiece that will be remember throughout the ages of gaming, because when you buy Nintendo, and more specifically Zelda, you buy a quality game. So in general I'd probably give it a 10.

Or maybe I just convinced myself too much that this game would be amazingly spectacular and set myself up for the fall. Don't know. | You thought the bosses were easier than OoT?
I'd disagree. I think they are harder, especially the last 2. They are easy when you figure out how to beat them but I think that figuring out what to do is harder than OoT, since Navi basically told you and it was pretty obvious. Here, Midna doesn't offer really any clues and the bosses tactics change more than they do in OoT.
I like the music in some parts, but I like OoT intro better, where it shows the night/day. It took me awhile to realize TP had this too, its just much slower than OoT.
I don't think I can really rate it at this point, even though I'd done the story, I haven't tried out all the minigames and seen if there is any replay value on it. But upfront right now, I'd give it a 9.3-9.7. My ratings always change though, but I it won't get a perfect 10 unfortunately.

| | | I haven't finished it yet but I'd give it a 9.5 so far.
Today I played through the Lanayru area. I loving the fishing hole. You can change lures and try for shallow dwellers, deep dwellers, or all around fish. You get a reel, too. Much better than the simple rod and bobber you get in Ordan Village. I caught a 24 inch Ordan catfish. What an amazing fishing simulation. They left out instructions on-screen and in the manual that you can use the nunchuk thumbstick to zoom your view in or out. It makes a huge difference when you can zoom or go wide angle to see the fish in an area.
This game is awesome. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
