| | | How long will Pokemon last? How much longer do you think the pokemon series will continue? Honestly we all love it but how long can they possibly keep coming up with new original pokemon, regions, and storylines. I personally don't think we will ever see the end of these games however I could be wrong. What do you think. . . ?

| | I got off the Pokémon train with Silver, Gold and Crystal. Far too many Pokémon nowadays and I don't think I'd enjoy much of the competitive side of a new Pokémon (since I need to figure out what all those things are).
Would probably be more of an actual Pokémon adventure; gotta catch 'm all or you'll have no idea what it's all about. | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to Slash For This Useful Post:

| | I personally think it will go on forever. :p They will allways come up with some new idea. I'm a little tired of the series myself. When i finished Pokemon Fire for Gameboy Color i was done. But i still bought Pearl becaue i was bored.

| | | I'm not worried about Nintendo coming up with more pokemon, towns, storylines, etc. I'm more worried about the names of the next games. What's left? Quartz, Onyx, Topaz? |

Make a G/S/C (my favorites) version on the Wii, and possibly look at more real time combat systems as opposed to turn-based. And drop the freakin' 4 move rule or at least increase it a little in some way (they hit lvl 50 and get two more move slots or something or hold a certain rare item) And yeah, drop the number of critters. 500 is pretty overkill in my opinion: I usually find about 20 I like and use regularly. In fact, my main team on Silver was: Typhlosion, Espion, Lugia, Ampharos, the Gyrados from the Lake of Rage, and Jinx. And of those, I only used about three most of the time and one part of the time (the others were just to fill slots and maybe serve as back ups in case something when horribly wrong).
Overall, I think it would be wise for Pokemon to experiment with some Wii games while still keeping the tried and true formula on hand helds until they get it right on the console. Hardcore fans will keep buying them no matter what, but people looking for innovation and solid gaming concepts will probably be getting bored with the same basic patterns repeating over and over. | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to BlackZero For This Useful Post:

| | | Pokemon for the GBA was far too repetitive. Pokemon for the GBA was far too repetitive. Same storyline same towns same characters. Same game except for one new item. Why buy a new version of the same game with one new item? They have gotten better with the DS though. When they stopped being so freaking repetitive and came up with the new dungeon thing. But I think that the old if they took the Old GBA games where you caught the pokemon and battled other people and made a new storyline instead of sticking with the same one every freaking time and did something like digimon world dawn and dusk did you would have a much better game. Basically where you had two different story lines showing two sides of a story. One from one person's perspective and one from other person's perspective. The dungeon idea is just stupid and boring to me. Unless the dungeons were like Digimon World 4 which is a good digimon game.
