| | | I don't hate the PS3 as a console, but I find it overpriced and not so much interesting games. I've played it (Assassin's Creed, average game, quite repetitive though and short) at my bf's and it was okay.
The only thing that made me wow are the graphics but the gameplay was well quite ordinary, not revolutionary. I also tried a fighting game, don't remember the name and Motorstorm, and they were, imo, okay too. Nothing that made me amazed either.
In the end, though, it's your choice, if you feel like you won't regret it, buy it. |

In the end, though, it's your choice, if you feel like you won't regret it, buy it. | Well yesterday, I went to my friends house, he has a wii (like me), a 360 and a PS3. we played them all and imo the PS3 owned the 360. We played:
360:
Gears of war online multiplayer
Halo 3 online multiplayer
PS3:
Burnout Paradise
Call of Duty 4 online multiplayer
Assassins Creed
WarHawk online multiplayer
Gears of war multiplayer was imo pretty bad. It was so repetetive. Four players per team, first team to kill the other team wins, plus you have to do a lot of waiting, though it has awesome graphics. Halo 3, however was really good with more variety, and a hell of a lot of a bigger area to play in, more places to hide etc.
Burnout on PS3 was wow with it's amazingly realistic graphics and brilliant gameplay. C.O.D had awesome graphics too, but it got slightly boring after an hour or so. Assassins Creed is probably better on the 360, but I still liked this game. WarHawk was pretty fun, and had incredible gameplay, but the graphics really let it down. If I just saw it on a screen, I'd find it hard to tell someone if it was PS2 or PS3, but as I say, the gameplay makes up for it. Plus it was like the first PS3 game ever.
So yeah, I'm definately gonna get the PS3 now. |

| | | That's no comparison. Burnout Paradise, Call of Duty 4 and Assassin's Creed are all available on the 360. You're playing different games on different consoles.
And why would your friend have all of the next-gen consoles? He must have some rich, or stupid parents. | | The Following User Says Thank You to HylianHitman For This Useful Post:

| | | Rich I think. He also has a PSP and DS and PS2 and Gamecube. And Hylian, even if they are the same games, they would still nearly always be better on PS3 due to the graphics! |

| | | Oh come on. You should be telling me that graphics don't make a game!
How do you think the medium we know as video games survived in the years long past? | | The Following 3 Users Say Thank You to HylianHitman For This Useful Post:

| | | What's so good about Metal Gear Solid? I have never played a MGS game before, so I'm not being a fanboy or anything, I really wanna know what's good about them? Aren't they just a 3rd person shooter with a bit of stealth? |

| | | He's right, incredibly enough. If you want to find out what a game is like, the best thing to do is grab a copy and play away. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
