the master sword keeps moving otherwise i think I have it.
Lets start with the earliest possible map. (I couldn't find an FS and Minish Cap one but OoT is usually the earliest important Zelda in the series as it happens right after the imprisoning war)
note the pretty looking map, it's not as accurate as the real map below it.
it's almost identical to the TP map and we can all usually agree TP comes right after it. Where is Snowpeak you ask? right off Zora's domain in the ice cavern area. Faron? It's exactly where it is in TP Between Hylia and the woods, directly under Kakariko far south.
This is where it gets weird. We go towards the sacred grove and see a gigantic tree, you think Deku right? but it's on the wrong side and not far from it is the temple of time which is now far huger and in the wrong region. Did someone try to move an entire temple? And is there another deku style tree on the other side of Faron?
now it looks like this.
or more precisley, this as shown by Prima.
I flipped it so it ill show the proper Gamecube version and everything is in it's right place.
did someone uproot and move the temple of time? and then let it fall into ruin?
now things get ugly and the flood occurs.

look what all is buried
then when the water receeds you get a little confusing area known only as Zelda for the NES.
makes little sense...until
Zelda 2.

Zelda 1 takes place in a tiny area on the coast which appears to be a large coastal area on the other side of Kakariko and Death Mountain. The Hylian continent appears have a great eastern seaboard. Looks like we know now where Link went sailing in Awakening and Oracles. All this time befor we had been playing in the midwest and didn't even know it.
Also isn't it cool how a lot of the towns are named for OoT sages?
now lastly and CERTAINLY not leastly comes the great link to the past at the end of which the master sword sleeps FOREVER and the triforce is restored and wished on one last time. The flood has changed the midwest GREATLY. observe.
so what does this look like compare to OoT and TP?
FREAKISHLY different but you see what it basicly used to be.
