Here are two links to find more out more about these games IGN: BS The Legend of Zelda: The Ancient Stone Panel IGN: BS The Legend of Zelda
These games were never released into the US. They were played with a add on that went with the SNES that was never released in the USA. Also the Link to the Past game was first on the BS A Link to the Past in Japan using their new add on that was never released in the U.S. The BS The Legend of Zelda can be emulated with the words changed to english but as far as I know the BS The Legend of Zelda The Ancient Stone Panel is not emulated at all. |
Now that was an idea head of it's time, an idea that can be much better fufilled with our current technology. One of the problems with Zelda is after you have done the taxing long quest, there really is nothing to do after that. Having episodic updates and side-quests via an online (or in our case Wi-Fi) connection will help greatly to extend the life of such games.
Another tropuble is for someone who's
supposed to be the "Virtual Avatar of Yourself", Link does a lousy job at it: he may have gotten away with it before in the less detailed, story light, 8 bit days but now well....last time I checked I'm not some blonde, metrosexual pretty boy , I'm..um..me. So how cool will it be to use your own character, be it the Mii or a more detailed custom character, and run through the hills of Hyrule howver you want. Guys can have a more badass elf warrior than mister tighty wighty

Girls can finally explore the world of Hyrule and show that girls are not merely bait for Ganondorf

and finally, how frikkin cool will it be for you, yes you, to be the hero of the game!!! you can save the world!!!!
