Wow, haven't heard that in years! I have the Gamecube version now, and I didn't realize how different the sound was till I clicked it.

...Creepy...

Have you heard about the sword-less link glitch?

Have you heard about the sword-less link glitch? I believe that it can only be done with the Gold Cartridge of the game. But some people claim that you can do it on the other versions a different way. But on the Gold version this is how it is done. This was tested by someone I know with his Gold Cartridge so I know that it works. After getting to Ganon the second phase of the fight where Ganon knocks the sword out of links hand. After he knocks the sword out of links hand and Link does not have a sword save the game and quit. Then do not. And I repeat Do not get your sword back out. If you do this will cancel the glitch and it will not work anymore. Get on your Horse Epona. Then there will be a glitch where it looks like you are mounting on Epona in mid-air. And you will be able to use any item on the horse. Any of the C-items. Also if you go to the Carpenters Tent and stick the horses head inside the tent. Then warp to Lake Hylia which you will be able to do thanks to this glitch. Then you will be invisible riding Epona! To become visible on Epona leave this area. Also some people think that using this glitch in some way you might be able to get the Triforce. But this is just a rumor. As are all the other Triforce rumors.

hey interesting topic, i think it only makes since for the game to have a middle eastern/muslim-ish feel to it considering how half of it takes place in the desert.

the crescent moon & star symbol also appeared on all 4 sides of the large, movable, cubes that were among most of the temples/dungeons in OoT..i have no idea if this was censored in the Gamecube version or not, but based on the fact that the symbol on the shield offended people, it was probably changed as well.

and if i recall when i defeated Ganon[dorf], i saw red blood after the kill..and i went into the fire temple today to see if i heard chanting..and i did..don't know what version that means i have, but oh well :)

I wonder if Ocarina of Time was released now rather then when it was if it would get a T rating. My sister (8 years old) has been watching me play through OoT (again) and some of the green and blue blood creeps her out somewhat as well as some of the enemies and understanding that Ganon killed off some people during that 7 year period. I think surely after seeing what happened with TP OoT would have a T rating these days. Killed Barinade (the Jabu-Jabu's belly boss) today and he bled quite a bit of green blood. Don't matter to me at all but when an 8 year old sister is watching you you need to be cautious.

I'm thinking that's probably not the best of ideas, lol.
And also, now that i've taken time to actually listen to the link to the chanting I posted lol, I prefer the chanting MUCH more over the groans that are in my copy.
The Muslims complained that they heard "Allah Akbar" which supposedly means "I bear witness that there is no God but Allah". All I hear is Vol-Vag-I-Ag-I-A. They are obviously chanting the name of the Fire Temple boss, Volvagia. Theres some other stuff too in the background but I definitly don't hear Allah Akbar.

You could show your sister Conker's Bad Fur Day while you have the N64 out. That'll explain the ways of the sunflowers and the bees.
