Who here absolutely hates the Wii and every single thing about it, as I do? Who else thinks it should rot in the ground along with the power glove? And that Nintendo is the epitamy of capitalist consumerist dogs, that will sell you ten thousand useless, ugly addons for the sake of a new dollar. That will make thirty thousand mario games, again for a new dollar. Of course the ''business'' needs to make money; but the balance between creativity and profit is important. And to Nintendo; it's not. At least that's how I feel. I think microsoft is like that too, but in a different way. It is Microsoft after all, and they were convicted for being a monopoly. I think Playstation has the best balance, but I'm sure Sony (an electronics king) is plenty greedy to. Just not as much.

Sony sued a business that was selling PSPs to a country that didn't have any. They claimed it would hurt their business in that area or something like that. The lawsuit caused the business to shut down completely.

I agree that Nintendo seems a little on the let's-make-a-lot-of-money-quite-fast side, but... I think they are. Not as much as Sony but more than Microsoft. Yes that's right, I think Microsoft is the one most concerned about having good service/games/etc, since they still kind of have to prove themselves (having only had two real consoles).
The Wii is ok, but I do agree that is has taken somewhat too much of a 'commercial' turn focusing on the 'non-gamer' population and such. Sony do stay the gamer*****s though, that's got nothing to do with me growing up with suchan idea or anything.*

Well all the consoles have there problems, just look at Sony for example and not just there gaming department with the PS3(dont even get me started on that piece of ****) anyone remember Sony BMG CD scandal that happened a few years back? I'll include wikipedia articles later but long story short they sold CD's that were so poorly designed that they practically left your computer open for viruses and 2 years later what did they do? They shut down the company that they forced to make the CD's in the first place honestly what assholes. The Wii is a great piece of machinery in my opinion. Yeah it does have its problems but what doesnt? The 360 has problems as well, you have to pay for online, microsoft almost never checks into anything before banning a account, oh and dont forget the RRoD, but dont get me wrong I love my 360. I dont like Nintendo's new route on the 'casual' gamer market ether but hey what can you do? Ive been with Nintendo all my life I alteast know im not gonna give up now. (and if you actually want to know what my problem with my PS3 is then ask I'll post it, this post is long enough)

The nintendo wii is the cheapest console. Along with the fact that is comes with a game that you can play as soon as you get the wii which PS3 and XBOX360 do not offer without a higher price on the console. So I don't think nintendo is really being greedy. The XBOX 360 and the PS3 both cost more than the nintendo wii. However for those who like to play adult games nintendo doesn't really have a very big selection. I do think that nintendo focuses too much on games rated T and below. But I don't think that they are being greedy about the price of the console. The wii remotes are expensive though I will give you that. But the other systems charge the same amount of money for nextgen games and nintendo wii does. There is at least one good online game SSBB. They do need more good online games. But they are not any more greedy as far as the cost of the console and games than any other sytem. The only thing that might cost more than any of the other consoles is the wii remote which definitely needs to be cheaper. And there is the fact that the nintendo wii will play any old gamecube games plus nes, snes, N64 and a couple of non nintendo related games. Also the nintendo wii offers nintendo ds demos for free to download to your nintendo ds. I don't think that giving away free nintendo ds games is being greedy. You don't see playstation doing that. The very idea of that would be unheard of for them. Nintendo has always been interested in making the best possible gaming experience and not the extra unnecessary stuff like a large internal HD or a higher amount of pixels per inch for HD TV's 480p is plenty high enough to see all the details of the enhanced graphics of the next gen consoles clearly. Nintendo has always had the cheapest consoles and playstation has always had the most expensive consoles. When microsoft started the console business it was. The order of most expensive consoles after microsoft joined was Playstation, Microsoft, Nintendo

PS3 - hardcore entertainment enthusiasts who want to be on the forefront of technology
Xbox 360 - online gaming and a wide selection of titles

All the consoles have their features that appeal to different people, but the one you like and be happy.
