| | | I don't particularly like the Wii, but I'm keeping it so I can play SSBB (When it FINALLY comes out) and hopefully any other Zelda games that are released.

| | | the addons other than the nunchuck are optional, you don't need them (though the classic controler is a must for virtual console games). Personally I love my Wii, but to each their own I guess.

| | | He's expressing his (apparently extreme) dislike of the way it's being marketed. Maybe the games are good and enjoyable, but he hates the premise behind them.
I personally don't have much interest in the Wii other than for SSBB and Prime 3.

| | | Well, for the price there really isn't anything wrong with it. Sure, there may be a shortage of spectacular titles for it, but the ones that are out are pretty good. It keeps me entertained for a few hours a day, which is all it really is supposed to do (though the first chapter of FE was annoying)
Overall, it won't blow you away with anything, but it doesn't really fall short anywhere either. |

| | | True, this is primarily a Zelda forum and you've never played any of them.

| | | I don't like multi quoting (personally, no real reason), so I'll just address various people. First; thank you Jazzyjoe for the input about sony. I didn't know that about them. But your last sentence was idiotic in that I shouldn't be expected to know every piece of gaming news out there, especially when I said that sony is a plenty greedy electronics king.
Second; thank you to everyone who made a nice long informative post. That's what I was hoping for here. Especially kudos to Jab and Mab, great posts.
Third; sambo110. What are you talking about? It's a Zeldaforum and I love zelda. I've played Zelda games since the first one came out. Nintendo was always my favorite company my whole life, until recently. I played sega too, but not as much. I own an NES, Super Nintendo, ancient Gameboy, Nintendo 64, and a Gamecube. But I neither want nor like DS and Wii. But my point toward you is; this isn't soley a Nintendo site. And even if it were; it's mainly about Zelda. And I love the legend of Zelda. And third and a half; who's mcfugg talking to? Me? I've played the games. What; are you my long lost brother that knows what I have and haven't played? WOW, long time no see broham.
And thanks to Hylianhitman for understanding me, LOL! Anyways, in reply to Digirob89; I'll say some stuff about it now. I ''was'' (like Hylianhitman said) ranting about Nintendo in general. But I do have specific things to say about the Wii.
As consoles progressed; we've gotten more buttons. And that's a good thing. How many is too many? Who knows. But Nintendos ''less is more'' button philosophy is crap. The playstation beats the Wii with it's good amount of buttons plus six axis, despite what I hear about six axis sucking anyways. Less is not more, and the sky isn't blue because there's an ocean in it. Regardless; so many times I've thought through my gaming history; I wish this controller had more buttons. And every next console has supplied said demand. I think we've reached the point where we do have a proper amount, with the Xbox and PS3. But Wii has practically no buttons and has you swinging your arm around. Okaaaayyyy. That's not my biggest gripe though. I get that it could be fun for parties, but it's actually not. I'd rather go bowling, or play wiffle ball in the yard than play blocky virtua fighter versions of random sports. And when I play a complicated game with good graphics; I NEED MORE BUTTONS! How are we going to play Resident evil 5? And that brings up another point, the re-releasing of old games, just so you can play them with the Wii-mote. Releasing two Zeldas was fine, and smart. But reselling resident evil 4 was a garbage move, seriously. I'm not going to replay a game that I've beaten a thousand times so I can wave my arms around like an angry monkwii. Pardon the weak pun there. And DS is stupid too. Interesting gimmicks are great, but not when they dominate the whole product.
Also; I wasn't saying that the Wii was greedy, just Nintendo in general. But all the Wii products that have sprung up ''are'' a good example of greed. They have a Wii everything now. Wii balance board, Wii ugly light gun, Wii Verne Troyer.......... Who remembers the Nintendo rocket launcher?!? What's next; a Wii-frigerator? A Wii circular saw so you can play ''madcap carpenters''? Ewww.
