Hi, I'm thinking about getting a Wii for my son for Christmas so I'm going to ask a really dumb question: to use the bluetooth for accessing the net, I guess I have to make my desktop computer system wireless? If so, should I get a router and a USB plugin for the computer. I know it's quite the newbie question but I've never had the need for wireless before.

You could just buy a cheap router, for about 30 bucks, but i don't know if it would be compatible... i think your best bet would be the usb dongle...otherwise known as a "Nintendo Wi-fi USB Connector" You should find them at about any retailer that sells a DS.

you could do that.. but there will be a adaptor that hooks into one of the usb ports on the wii that has a ethernet plugin if you dont wanna buy a wireless router.. but buying that and then another ethernet cable.. it might run close to as much as a cheap wireless router... and if you get that.. then you can use the ds, psp, and anything that gots wifi on it.. like some laptops.. that i wish i had haha..

Wireless router or USB Nintendo Wifi Connector adapter are the best options to go online with Wii!
