Wii Sports + Wii Play = My Types of Games

Most people are getting the Wii for Twilight Princess, or highly involved FPS games.

Me, on the other hand, am buying the Wii for the less-deep games.

I've never been much of a gamer. I loved doin' a couple of Mario Kart tracks on the N64, and maybe a bit of Mario Golf on the GameCube, but I've never finished a game (except Wario Ware on the DS -_-).

Wii Sports and Wii Play seem like the perfect titles to me.
  1. Simple.
  2. Multiplayer.
  3. No complicated story.
It just seems like good ol' fashioned arcade fun pretty much.
I'm hoping that similar titles are released through the VC (new games, but just not sold in stores).

I can't wait to Wii!

lol.
I didn't say it wasn't any good.

I'm just saying that Wii Sports & Wii Play are the games I think I'll enjoy the most.

I own this site/forum, so of course I love Twilight Princess! (I just doubt I'll ever finish it -_-)

Dave, that's why you shouldn't have sold your DS. It's the pick up and play handheld!

Seriously, I was at autopac and the line was horribly long, I waited for like an hour, and the DS saved me from boredom. XD

Yea, I don't know why I sold my DS, but the $70 AUD price tag on games was irritating.

Wow. The expensive ones are only like $50 here.

still I don't get a lot of money...which is why I don't buy games.

I see where he's coming from though. I mean, When I get done with school I'm sometimes not in the mood for puzzle solving, lots of reading, and pounds of action. So I occasionaly like to play games like Wii sports and Wii play. But I do love deep games also. But thats why we were created differently.
(and also why playstation exists)

Exactly.
And seeing as I have my little online empire to run
I don't always have time to play games.

I'm going to go in the opposite direction with this and say that I really don't like games like that. Warioware is an exception, just because it's so freaking fast and crazy, but after I get to know all the minigames I get bored with that too.

I pretty much only play big puzzle-solving adventure games. I'm not too much of an FPS fan either. About the most "pick-up-play" game I'll be picking up for Wii is going to be Smash Brothers Brawl. I'm not even sure if that counts either.

One of my biggest concerns right about the Wii right now is that most of the games that are released for it will be like these. Already there are quite a few of them.

Man, I totally have to agree, i think it's about time the world took a sharp turn towards fun games with 0 load times and tons of interactivity and multiplayer.
