I've always wanted a DS, and I was going to get one two years ago, but I thought they were making a new handheld. Now, two years later, they still haven't made a new one, and I still don't have a DS. But I'm convinced the day I get one is the day that they will come out with something awesome.
So are they ever going to make a new handheld? Or should I just suck it up and buy a DS?

| | | Well, I've usually had that fear, seeing as when I got my DS, (its a phat one) they came out with a DS light about a month later. It sucked. But....You should get a DS. They are good, and I haven't heard any news of any other new handhelds so...

Or should I just suck it up and buy a DS? | Hey Tpchikki, I know how you feel, newer more advanced systems, consoles and games are always being made and it always makes me wonder if I should just wait for the new one instead of buying a older version.I would say buy it because the newer so called DSi isn't due out for probably a few years, their cheaper now and you can always get one used at Gamestop or EB Games that's in good shape, just a warning though get a screen protector for your bottom screen otherwise the stylus will end up scratching the screen and you'll have horrible marks on it. | | | I don't see the point in waiting for a DSi, honestly. Unless you're right into online content. I'd advise you to get a DS Lite, the 3 Castlevanias, the 2 Advance Wars and the 4 Ace Attorney games, they're a given. Mario Kart DS is pretty good, and the Final Fantasy games are good remakes, but they ARE remakes. Phantom Hourglass is a fine game as well. Come to think of it, the DS has good games up the yin-yang, go and buy one now. If there are no shops open, break in and steal one now. If there are none in stock, go mug a kid who has one. Do whatever it takes to get a friggin' DS.
