Who here loves RC cars?

Ages ago a friend took me to this RC racing competition as it was his (and his dads) hobby. It was like 20-30 geeks racing 1/10 scale cars around a poorly built track on a netball court. It was awesome.

Anyways, fast forward a few years, and my sisters boyfriend bought an off-road RC monster truck off eBay for $150, but he drove it into a pot plant, so it snapped some of the plastic, and basically it couldn't turn properly. He gave it to me because he didn't have the time to fix it, and then my dad just quickly fixed it up with a small piece of metal and it's all good again.

We tested it out and it's so freaking fun! I would make it go it's top speed (like 30-40kmph) on a netball court then quickly turn as it hit some dirt - it drifts for like 2-3m, creates a dust cloud and keeps going. Seeing as it only took 1 hour or so to fix, we're giving it back.

Last night I just eBayed my own RC car for $134 including shipping. It's practically the same car (same brand) but with a few different specs and it looks cooler.

Here's some pics of it:

RC cars are unbelievably entertaining.

That's pretty cool. I have a few of the older RC cars. Like really old. I used to play with them all the time, but these days I don't even though I live on a ranch with tons of area to run them on. I like RC planes/helicopters more than the cars though. I got a helicopter for christmas. It is fun when the wind isn't knocking it out of the sky.
