| | | Got my new amp. Fender G-Dec I generally don't like spending money, but I've wanted a new amp for a while, and the Fender G-Dec in particular. It's not the best sounding amp in the market, but I wanted it for the effects, built in tuner, and the ability to record yourself, and then play something over that recording. Anyways, I still have my other amp (which I think is marginally better quality).
Now all I need is a new guitar, but that can wait. Once I get better, can play all the chords, know a few full songs etc, I'll be getting a stratocaster most likely. Quote: - Easy recall of guitar tones from heavy metal to jazz, punk to country — at the twist of a knob
- Drum beats, Bass lines, and other instruments provide musical backing in any style and tempo
- 70 preset drum loops and metronome
- 50 factory "Performance Presets" include drum loop, bass line, guitar amp tone plus effects; 50 more can be created by the user
- Internal synthesizer with MIDI interface allows playback of MIDI song files via computer. Play all the backing tracks through the G-DEC, and every instrument from Piano to Percussion is in there! MIDI keyboards can also be used to play the G-DEC’s internal sounds
- Easy-to-use automatic guitar tuner
- The amp’s top provides a flat surface for placing a portable CD or MP3 player; these devices can be hooked up with the G-DEC for "play along" capability
- Internal Phrase Sampler can sample the incoming guitar signal to create loops, or song soundbites from CD/MP3 may be captured for careful study
- Shoulder strap for easy transport
- 15 watts of power with a Special Design 8" speaker
- Future software upgrades can be loaded via MIDI

| | Woah great amp. you got there. I don't have much money at all, so my amp. is a Fender as well, only a TON cheaper.

| | hehe, my first amp I got from my uncle, who got it at an auction for $40 or something. Either way it sounds fine, but it has limited settings.
Now just turn the Knob to get a grunge sound, or turn it again to get blues sound. So awesome |

| | | That's a good amp, especially if you don't have much experience and don't have someone else to play guitar with. The record feature is the big thing about that amp which I like.

Just been messing around with palm muting and grunge effects, turned out to be a pretty neat sound.
Love the amp so far. |
