| | | How rare is it.... How rare is it for your fave bands/artists to appear on your local radio stations?
Here's mine:
Hole: Never heard on the radio yet
Auf der Maur: Never heard on the radio yet
Sheryl Crow: Can be heard at least 4 or 5 times everyday
Veruca Salt: Never heard on radio yet
Garbage: Very, very, very rarely played

| | | No radio station in Florida ever plays techo ever. The DJ Sammy they play does not count, it sucks its overplayed and most electronica does not have that much singing if any at all, but then again it depends on what type you listen to. They don't play opera, but we do have NPR-national public radio-that plays classical for a few hours each day. They also play the old fifties radioshows too. The classic rock station play plenty of Zepplin, but it can't beat my fiance's record player, I love the way music sounds in that thing. I never hear Gentle Giant on the radio, old band my dad introduced me to. And they don't play any real metal an the local rock stations. I have to stick to my eighties and classic rock stations most of the time.

| | | randomly 101.1 plays great songs, they play EVERYTHING though and its on almost a constant shuffle. their main style is today's alternative (MCR, RJA, etc.) but they also play the most off the wall shuffle songs (jay-z, to bob marley, to Ja rule, to kylie minogue, etc.)
i listen maily for the hosts, but i usually listen to DL'd music on my I-pod over any radio.

| | | I guess sattelite radio doesn't count, lol. There was a station here in chicago called ''rock 103.5'' that did do that, but they went of the air a few years ago and a pop station took over. Everyone was so mad, the station had been around for so long. So there isn't one anymore for me.

| | | I get the Washington DC stations, so it isn't very rare that there's a famous artist in the studios. In fact, I think there's a new artist every week guest staring on many of the stations...So yeah, not rare here at all.

Refused (never)
At the drive in/Sparta (never)
The Cure (maybe on a TV commercial...maybe)
Thursday (not yet)
Local radio = dead. Only ONE station where i live plays anything but country and classic rock. It plays crap and fail. (by which I mean crossfade and Nickelback) |
