Very few people know this, but when I was in Primary school I used to play the Clarinet (I wanted to play the Saxophone, but they wouldn't let me ). And I reckon I was pretty damn good, at least compared to the other 2 people that played it at the school (though, I was a year older than them).

I remember when I did play it, my breathing was much better. I could run for ages (was one of the faster runners in the school), and I could sit at the bottom of a pool for like 40 seconds at least (now it's like 5 seconds and I struggle ).

So I checked out Full Size Black Clarinet in Hard Case - Wind Instruments - Deals Direct Australia and they have the Clarinet for just $120 (usually $400), so it's definitely a good deal.

Who knows, maybe I'll pick it up quickly and blast some tunes, then YouTube it

I was once interested in Trumpet, but I could never get a good note out of it, so I just gave up. Clarinet is just so damn easy

I tried the saxophone but I couldn't do it. Plus being 9 I didn't understand the relationship between practice and skill.

Hey, I resent that a lot. Lol I'm a flute player and I have been for years. And though I'm in band, I've never done any of that.

Clarinets are frowned upon by my flute section. We believe our embrouchure positions are much harder to adjust than slathering spit onto a reed and blowing on it. Lol but I do think sax is awesome. One step at a time.
