| When i ran my own forums i could never see users passwords. You can see Ip addresses which is nessecary for stopping banned members from creating multiple accounts. But, staff members on forums don't need to know your passwords. If a staff member (normally just the administrators, although some admins give their staff free roam) wants to gain access to your account, they don't need your password to do so. On my forum we used to have fun editing peoples posts to say funny stuff on Aprils fools day and stuff.
