I don't understand why you're using a LameFAQs guide to help you through the first dungeon.

Are you incapable of even basic problem solving?

Some people need a walkthrough to get past a game. That's doesn't make them lame. Not everybody can be really good at games.

I already said I was using the walkthrough after i ****ed up because i was lost and not sure if i was missing something.

Walkthroughs are also useful to lazy burn-outs, like me, who would rather look at a walkthrough than go through it fifty times..

edit: its good i didnt start over like you told me to do because i probably wouldve killed someone after i found out i didnt need to start over. And it is somewhat of a long distance for me because I can't play everyday because I have somewhat of a life.

I personally dont use guides until i beat a game and want to see what i missed (if anything) but not everyone is capeable of that or want to try in frustration until they figure it out. Just because you do not use guides you should not chastize those who do, after all they support and entire market segment by themselves, guides make more money than they games they help you beat (per capita that is). If it were not for people who use guides the nintendo profits would not be as high as it currently is.

When I first played Ocarina I believed myself to be stuck inside the Deku Tree.

Thus I reset the N64 and deleted my save to attempt it again.

I use guides because I hate it when I miss stuff. Though, sometimes, there are omissions and confusing statements that can lead you astray.........Oh, well.
