It seems that in order to advance the game I need to catch a fish for the cat?

I've been at it for a couple of hours now and no fish. Is it just a matter of waiting even longer? Should I live his fishing pole out overnight while I sleep? What am I missing?

You need to watch the bobber, when it pops underwater, pull back. The vibrater is not gonna go off. this is waht the guide says

press b button to indicate a cast. Flick the remote forward(as if you were casting with a fishing rod) to send the line out. The bobber will float to the surface, then sink to indicate that you have a bite.

Once the bobber's top red line is submerged, pull up with the remote and hold it steady. a message will tell you that the fish is hooked. you'll claim your prize in a matter of seconds.

I've been trying that method for about 20 minutes now - pulling up every time the bob goes under water. Nothing happens when I do this, except that if I pull too much it comes out of the water entirely. Though one time I *thought* I saw a fish swimming away with the hook in its mouth, and it slipped off when I pulled up.

This has to be the hardest minigame I've ever had to complete as an entrance requirement to the actual game.

Maybe my girlfriend will be able to do it for me.

You have to pull up on the wii remote and keep the line steady. If not the fish will get away.

I am so stuck. I am finishing up getting all the tears of light where you have to fight those three black squid-headded things. They just will not die. I've fought them like five times now and I can't figure out how to kill them! Help!

Oy, I don't know. I just did the thing in the forest where I had to jump to Midna a lot to get through poison gas and stuff. I've collected all the tears of light from the invisible bugs (except the last two). And I'm now locked in a circular outdoor arena with three of those squiddy guys.

I'm in Ordon Forest. The sign right before I go to my death says "forest temple ahead."
