| Starting Ocarina again So I'm gonna keep on keeping on...I'm starting what I think is the second game in the timeline of Hyrule.
For anyone who is actually following this blog, I am happy to say that I am starting "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time." In my opinion, this game follows "The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap." Although the lay of the land of Hyrule is quite different, it could quite feasibly be the same place (Most of the Hyrule's look different).
This game clearly takes place many years after "The Minish Cap." It stars a different Link, a different Zelda, and the introduction to the primary villain Ganondorf. For continuity sake, I believe that the "Four Sword" is still resting somewhere in Hyrule Castle and the Minish still remain in the land, but are a mystery to most of the common people.
Let me begin by saying that this is my all time favorite game. Everything about it reminds me of the great days of gaming. Even though the graphics can't compare to something nowadays, the story and atmosphere are amazing. I only played the first dungeon, and for those of you who have played this game, you know that it is quite short. I'll get every updated in how I think the story is progressing.
An undisclosed amount of time after "The Minish Cap" the master sword is forged and the memory of the Minish people is lost to everyone but a few key people in Hyrule roylaty. The Deku Tree is planted and at some point he gives birth to the Kokiri people. Link, and boy without a past and no fairy is given to the Kokiri and he is raised as one of them. Alas, everything is not well. The Deku Tree knows that "The Man in Black" AKA Ganondorf is looking for the Triforce. The Triforce is what the old people used to refer to as the Golden Light. At some point the history of the Triforce and the Sacred realm is made clear. So Ganondorf cursed the Deku Tree in an attemp to get the Kokiri Emerald which will help him locate the Sacred realm. But AHA Link is not down with that. He rescues the Deku Tree who of course has a dungeon full of treasure chests, ladders, and a sling shot, inside of him. Now, The Deku Tree, who has given Link his fairy Navi, tells him to go to Hyrule Castle to meet the princess and find out what kind of business is going on...
