question bout zelda story...

this is gonna be long...

ok, im not the biggest zelda fan, and i think sometimes they get kinda boring, but i just dont get the story line.. ive played oot, 4 swords past,4 swords, and a little twilight princess, but its really confusing... your this little kid running around saving a princess, and every single game zelda is kidnapped.... what is up with this... sometimes you live in hyrule, other times you live in this faraway land, and every story its like you have to start over again from scratch... also, in 4 swords link to the past, why does the character look like a monkey in a gown???? it cant be link cuz ive seen link in the gameboy games....
if somebody can tell me the story or tell me where i can find the story in full, please do, thanks!

Well the games are a series. As such, you'll always be playing as Link, and always having to recue Zelda, etc.

If you want to know the full story, this would be a good place to start.

you may ask why zelda was kidnapped
but peach is probably kidnapped both as peach and princess toadstool more

and not all zelda games it's actually zelda
it could be nayru or din or any other "princess"
but as h.h. said, it is a series
what would a zelda game be if you were rescuing an old lady from a tree?

Majora's Mask didn't require you to save the princess, because Zelda wasn't even there, it was just Link on his own adventure. Also If i can remember, I'm pretty sure there was no princess rescuing in Oracle of Ages and Seasons, you just had to stop a bad guy from taking over the world. And Links awaking didn't have Zelda in it either. Yep so not every Zelda game is requiring you to save the princess.

Yeah there were some games without the Princess in them.

Yeah there were some games without the Princess in them. Such as Zelda Link's Awakening, she was on MM but only as a memory, and she was on Twilight Princess but you didn't have to rescue her like in the other games.

That comment seems pretty stupid. Twilight Princess is only one year old, and Phantom Hourglass just came out like a month or two ago. If you think we are stupid to discuss this, why bother to comment? Did you join just to call us geeks?
Oh, and I try not to think too much about the actual time-line. It makes my head ache.

Ha ha, now my comment seems stupid. I was referring to the comment from stevens.maw who has been banned.

Here is a guide I referred to on Gamefaqs that has a section near the end covering this. It's the guide done by Darkfury3827

Take a look at it; it makes a lot of sense to me. Scroll down towards the end of the guide. It's a part called "Fragment from the History of Hyrule"

STFU. Why are you even here if you don't even like Zelda. The Legend of Zelda series has been alive for over 20 years now. Zelda is Nintendo's second biggest series video game.

Ok. Some Zelda games are 10 years old. And you point is? They came out with a bunch of Zelda games since them. Where have you been? And this site is called zeldagamers for a reason. It is the official forum of Twilight Princess. And if you don't like Zelda games then keep any comments like that to yourself. We have a gaming forum where you can talk about whatever game you want to talk about. But you don't need to be bashing other people because they like a certain game. Especially when most of the members on this site that use it often like Zelda games.
