| | | Why so expensive? I was just browsing on Amazon.com and I was curious how much OOT and MM were selling for. I have both, so it's not a big deal, but I'm really wondering why the new copies are selling for so much.
OOT, brand new is $400 and MM is around $200. I understand that they are brand new, mint condition, etc. But I still don't understand why they are selling for *that* much. I tried to find an answer but I can't, so I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas.
Thanks :) |

| | | Hi Kristen,
I couldn't believe those prices, so I had to go look for myself. I don't get it. Some say collectors edition and stuff, but you got me. I wouldn't pay that kind of money. It's pretty crazy. |

| | | It is expansive just because they don't sell it anymore in stores and it's sometimes (depending where you live) hard to find. Especially limited editions or the original grey cartridges (with the red blood and Islamic chants).
Also the condition helps too... If it was barely played or not at all well you can expect a high price.
Of course I would never buy it... That's why emulators exist! XD

| | | Zelda: OoT and MM are collectors items now. People pay A LOT for nostalgia. It's like those people who collect baseball cards, or action figures. It's stupid for some people to say that it's way too expensive to buy nes games on the virtual console when a lot of the popular nes games could go for 100 bucks on ebay.

| | | Are you sure it's just the game because that is crazy. I have the limited edition with both of them so I won't be paying $600 for 2 games.

| | | I have original 64 cartridges to get my "classic" Zelda fix (N64 games are considered classics, I must be getting old). My OoT is gold, but with green blood and no chanting.

| | | some people sell stuff online at outrageous prices to try and make monoy on ebay. Some people sell stuff online at outrageous prices to try and make monoy on ebay or amazon ect. Some people sell for almost twice what it is worth or more just to try and make more money. And there still seem to be people who are willing to pay that much.

| | | Wow. Who would want to sell the classics? I know I wouldn't. I'm just wondering if you can buy the limited edition zelda game for the gamecube without buying the gamecube? I got it with my gamecube and my friend freaked because I have it. So is it a collector thingy or something?

| | | Limited edition Zelda game? Is that the one with Ocarina: Master Quest, or the Zelda, Zelda 2, Ocarina and Majora disc?
I'd keep Master Quest tbh. |

| | I can understand wanting the original or a limited edition.... but $400 seems a little much O_O
Ah well, I have OoT Master Quest for gamecube, the one that came with WW. So I don't need an original.
