Not to my knowledge. I thought that they were being considered potential Zora replacements when I first saw them. They are fairly similar, save for the obvious differences. But then I realized that you can't replace the Zoras.

The Ritos are my favourite race, hands down. Hmmm can anyone say, bird freak? Next would be the Zora, they are one of the most elegant races as far as I'm concerned.

But why would they make the zora's into ritos? There's plenty of water. I think the design of the zora was awesome in Twilight Princess.

The way I see it, if they had Zoras it'd be too obvious that you'd use one of them later in the game. The Ritos were at least a cover for that.

But the only use was for giving the sacred song. So that was kind of a waste of not having zoras. But then again you can't swim underwater like the games with zora's.

I agree, I think it would be kind of cool if they went more in depth on gibdos, redeads, all of those enemies.
