| | | 360 vs. PS3 Well, I'm looking at getting one of the other Next Gen consoles, and was wondering which was the better purchase. I was looking at 360, but my friend suggested PS3 because it's not only next gen, but also backwards compatible with PS2. Any suggestions? If I get one, there's a good chance I won't be getting the other for a little while. |

If it was me, I'd get a 360.

| | | Isn't a 360 backwards compatible with a normal Xbox then? |

I like RPG's, Strategy, Adventure, some fighting games, Racers, and 3rd person shooters. (never took to FPS for some reason) |

| | | The 360's backwards compatibility is limited at best. I don't think the lower-end PS3 has backwards compatibility. |

I'd go for the Xbox 360, which has RPG's, adventures, fighting games, racers and... 3rd person shooters. I think.
Though I heared FF will be PS3 only? I wouldn't care, cos I don't like FF, but it seems like people like FF. You do get Fable 2 on the Xbox 360 though, and the new Banjo Kazooie (boy would I like to play that), Soul Calibur (for awesome fights) and DOA (for the boobs I guess)... |

| | | THey are both pretty good now... a few years ago I would have told you to take the 360, but the PS3 has gotten cheaper and now has more 3rd party support
so either would be agood choice |

| | | Considering what you say you like, I would also suggest a 360.
