| | | Do reviews influence your decision to buy games? I was wondering if anyone used reviews as a guide to buy videogames? I don't, but if a game that i don't know much about gets all bad reviews, then i will probably wait till I play it and then decide whether or not i should buy it. But some games that get heaps of bad reviews look like fun so i buy them anyway. |

| | | I have yet to consult reviews before buying games. However, I may consider doing that for future purchases. So far, after every game I've bought, I've looked at reviews for said game afterwards, and I virtually agree unanimously, with some exceptions. |

| | | I use them as a general guide. Even the most biased reviews still provide a reference for whether it was good or sucked. But even then you have to look at a few to get a honest voice of opinouns.

| | | I chose sometimes, if there is a game (even one that I had high expectations for or was planning to buy) that gets OK but not great reviews by most sites, I will usually rent it first to see if it lived up to my expectations and would be worth the purchase. But I never take someone else's review, their opinion, so seriously that I do not at least try the game to form my own opinion, unless of course it's a movie game, which I would never buy anyway.

| | | Well, sometimes i'll look at the review to just see if a game i think would be good really just sucks. It saves me money. :) So, yes, sometimes reveiws will influence me.

| | | I only look if I am looking for new games and am unsure what might be out or if I see a game and it looks good and I want to make sure that it is actually as good as it looks.

| | Not really for me... because a review is only a technical opinion about the quality of the game and i have a lot of games i think are fantastic that some reviews were unfair on. Plus i dont read reviews i mainly see how good upcoming games were by the demos

| | | I mostly read reviews to get a good impression of a game. However, I do not solely base my purchases on them. I've never read any reviews about TimeSplitters, yet I still bought it, and I'll never regret it =P |

| | | The only review I've ever taken into consideration was a magazine's review for Yoshi's Island, and that was after I had bought Yoshi's Island.
For confirmation of how much of a masterpiece it is. |

| | | I usually read reviews just to get people general reaction to a game. For the most part if a lot of people give it a good review it's good. But then reviews are not always reliable since it is very easiest for little biased idiots to get in and write a bad review for the game on purpose.
