| | Victory Microsoft has admitted defeat. They are talking to Sony about switching over to Blu-Ray format. This makes me so happy(I don't like Microsoft that much).

You're ****.
Blue-Ray discs over here are at least double the price of HD-DVDs, same with blue-ray players. Now we'll all need to buy new xbox 360s too. **** this ****.

| | | I never got a 360, so now I'm wondering if it's a good thing or a bad thing if I plan to get one in the future: it'll have a Blu-ray player inside, meaning I don't need to buy one, but the fact that there's a Blu-ray player in there means it'll cost more than it would've before.

Slow = expensive. | Actually there are more people with HDTVs than you would think, and next year, here in the US, all programming will be switched to Digital so this will also increase the number of households with HDTVs.

| | | Excuse me for a moment. It was not Microsoft, but Toshiba that admitted defeat. All Microsoft did was drop their HD-DVD player because obviously, that isn't going anywhere now. Now that we do have a winner in this somewhat short-lived format war, the victors here are those of us who have a 360, as we'll likely be able to get a Blu-ray player. That comes separately.
Imagine what would have happened if MS had combined the HD-DVD format with the 360. Or if Blu-ray lost the format war. That would have been bad for Sony. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
