Has it ever accured to you that Nintendo has a lot more crappy games released for their game systems? The Game Boy, Game Boy Advance and now the DS and Wii have a wide range of shovelware on game shelves and even on the used game game shelves of used game stores. I read an article in Electronic Gaming Monthly explaining why this is.
Nintendo, unlike Sony and Microsoft, don't have what's call a screening process for evaluating games. Sony and Microsoft make sure that no crappy games end up on their systems. Not to say that they do have bad games, but not to the extent of Nintendo like say Chicken Shoot on the Wii.
Sony and Microsoft also make sure that imitators of other popular games don't appear either. Can't say the same thing for Nintendo. I remember when Pokemon was released on the Game Boy Color that tons of imitators appeared involving similar themes of the game they copied. The same can be said for WarioWare which introduced the 'microgame." Today the same thing is happening today as with the Pokemon copying thing.
It seems that the thing is not going to stop any time soon. The amount of crap on the Wii and DS is making Nintendo very rich. I don't think even hearing the protests of gamers in disgust of the games will make Nintendo change their ways. There is proof of this just look at the seal on your Nintendo games in 2002 Nintendo changed it from "Official Nintendo Seal of Quality" to Official Nintendo Seal" which basically make it worthless. All you have to do is look at the seal on the box on WindWaker and then Twilight Princess.I believe Nintendo has gotten to arrogant with the high sales number to the Wii and DS.

You read wrong, or got wrong information. Nintendo was the first company to actually have a screening process for games (this is what saved the market after the atari crash). Sony is full of nothing but crap games and xbox has its share as well. look at the games for the PS1 AND PS2, its full of crap. the crap games come to the biggest market so they can hit as big of a target audience as possible. when the PS was dominant they were the ones who got it, it just so happens that the Wii is the cheapest to develop for and the one all studios flock to, great and crappy alike.

being the console with the largest market (or potential market at this point) and the cheapest to dev for the flood of games is inevitable. Nintendo is not saying "hey come make crap for our system, nor is sony rejecting ANYTHING. its merely the fact that PS3 games cost A LOT to dev for, and its difficult to dev for, thats why barely any software houses go there. MS is almost as costly, but easier, which is why they get more than sony, but Wii has the cheapest dev cost and is the easiest to dev for, making it the console of choice.its a double sided sword. you get allot of crap games, but you also get great ones too.

Sony or M$ doesnt care a flying **** if copycat games come out, that means more sales for them. its just that they dont have them made for them for the above reasons. sony has nothing but crap anyway. No company would refuse money, it doesnt make any sense.

I just figured Nintendo would take any games they can get, since people are always complaining about them not having any games except for their own.
As for me, I think other systems have just as much crappy games. I know I played my Gamecube more than my PS2. I hardly ever touched that thing because I didn't like any of their games. What may be crap for one person might be great for someone else.

they have a couple good games... but compare that to their extensive craplist of crap.

It has a worse ratio of good to bad than the Wii currently has.

Yes, PS2 has some great games, like Okami and Shadow of the Colossus, but they have crappy games as well. I only have a few games on PS2 and after I've beaten them, they have just gathered dust for the most part.
But I still continue to play Zelda and Mario party for gamecube (except now on the Wii)
