Question Ordered a 360 Pro, did I make a wise choise?

Ok my mom ordered me a Refurbished 360 Pro that has 2 heat chips installed along with everything else a new one comes with (that is what was listed anyways) for $278 (plus $16 shipping) along with Dead Rising for $23 new. She spent the money from my Graduation Money. Anyways, yesterday I traded in all of my Ds games and MP8 for $100. Then I traded in about 10-13 gamecube games for around $70. I got the GameStop Edge Card to help with the trade in. Now I preordered and paided off BioShock CE, picked up Quake 4($17 new) and Silent Hill 4: The Room ($14 used), and bought Skyler Yoshi's Island for the GBA. (that did not work so we returned it and he got TMNT for the DS.) I went to Sears and bought a Charge and Play Kit (The GameStop where I went to charges (on allmost all) new games and acc. $3.

I just want to know from you, the people, if I made a wise choise in buying a 360 and the above items to start out?

im assuming heat chips = heat syncs... extra chips just ading heat would be counterprodcutive

sounds like you sold ALOT for a very modest ROI. i probably would have kept most of the stuff (i kept all my GC games. but the 360 sounds like a good deal as long as they are not actual heat chips

All of the games I got rid of for the gamecube were ones that I got for free (friends) or got them dirt cheap. I have no use for the DS games because I own a M3 DS Simply. Now for the Heat Chips. The Heat Sink chips reduce the amount of heat that the 360 gives off. It is the same chips that the Elite version has. Loot Ninja » New Xbox 360 Elite’s Have Added Heat Sink

, I want some of those, my 360 has been overheating a bit lately, i have it elevated in the middle so it ventilates well, but it doesnt work if its not raised at least 2-3 inches.

Well the newer releases of the 360 Pro will have a HDMI and Heat Sink chips just like the Elite version.

360 Pro?

I have never heard of a 360 Pro. I did a google search for it. There was a 360 Elite that was recently released. But I haven't heard anything about a 360 Pro? I don't think that XBOX has any need to release another XBOX 360. The Elite Version still costs less that the 60 GB PS3. And it has double the internal HD memory. I am a Wii fan but I still don't see why XBOX has any need to come out with another XBOX 360 system.

We have a 360 standing upright and it never overheats.

whatever you do do not switch from upright to horisontal while the game is running, it will chew up the disk (or did they fix that problem lately?)

ya, i made that mistake with my gears. I accidently knocked it over while playing and it screwed it all up. :(.

Oh ya, and mab, there are 3 Xbox 360's. The Xbox 360 Core, Xbox 360 Pro, and Xbox 360 Elite. The Core is what is says, the core, it just has the system. The Pro has the system, and a 20 GB Hardrive. And of course, the Elite, it has the system, 120 GB hardrive(also sold seperately), HDMI, and I guess it has this heat sink thing too.(More Info:Xbox.com | Xbox 360 Consoles - Xbox 360 Console Price Drop

So basically the only thing better about the Elite is the hardrive. But I just reserved one and bought it seperate. And does anyone know if you can send in your console to have this heat sink installed? If so I might try that.
