| So, who is your favorite video game bad guy?
almost every non sports or puzzle related game has a final boss or a big enemy. RPGs, shooters, strategy games, etc. So I ask you, who is your favorite, and why?
I think my favorite would be Lavos from Chrono Trigger. The reason i say that is because he isn't a cliche madman trying to take over/destroy the world, or a guy dressed in black with long hair trying to look cool... Lavos is merely a lifeform living its life cycle.
For those who don't know what lavos is... read below.
Lavos is a parasite that feeds on a planet in order to survive. Lavos came to earth on the meteor that killed off the dinosaurs. It quicky dug deep down into the planet, and controled the growth and other aspects of the lifeforms living on the surface. whenever something died, Lavos absorbed it into its being, slowly becoming bigger and stronger one life at a time.
At the peak of life on the planet, Lavos rises from beneath the earth and rains destruction on the planet for a great harvest, destroying almost all life. It uses the life it got from the harvest to reproduce, having about 4-5 children. The children grow by feeding on the remnates of the planet. The planet being completely sapped collapses, letting the children ride its remains to distant worlds to repeat the process.
now of course in the game, crono & friends stop the harvest from happening, and sucessfully kill off all but one of the children (which becomes the Time Devourer in the next game), so all is good in the end.
