Bentsea's main argument was that it nerfed the game by not allowing it to play with strangers AND friends... But personally, I don't find anything wrong with it. I think it's more of a developer issue though. I think it's definitly possible to make a game where you can play with strangers and friends...

I like to play with people without having to know them because it gives me a lot bigger group of people to play with. Friend's codes make that hard to do. That is why I don't like them.

There is always a random match function. You will always be able to play with people you don't know.... How does having friend codes prevent that?

The random match function never works very well. Coming from the PC world, I'm able to pick out servers that have a high level of honesty and where certain levels of play are advertised. People get kicked for not following the rules of the server, and people who are good move on to other servers. When you find the server yourself... you are more likely to find a full server with good people than a random match has ever found me.

Why can't you just fricken have both?
