| Played Excite Truck Today I finally got my hands on it and got to play with it. I didn't just get to play excite truck though, I witnessed its insertion, screwed around with the menus, made a Mii, which, oddly enough, is NOT as robust as the Flash version that everyone has goofed around on, there are some VERY cool Mii features that I hadn't heard about, though.
Mii Wander... a Mii can be allowed to wander, and will go on to other Wii on the network. You can have a Mii parade, in which the wandering Mii travel across the screen.
The interface uses rumble to let you know when you're over a button, so that there is a very tactile feel to browsing the channels, entering information, and even creating Mii.
Okay, Excite truck. This game's controls take some really disecting. The controller is VERY responsive, and the trucks have very bad traction, it doesn't feel like it controls well, but if you pay attention, the truck responds to absolutely any movement, it corrects itself to a basic upright position, it's just the way the game plays to have it all around on the tracks loose. It's an insane amount of fun. It's almost less fun once you're experienced enough at it to do it really well. I really cannot wait till tomorrow night.... |
