At least we can look forward to the fan movie (with excellent acting and CGI) that is gonna be released sometime soon (I hope). I think it's called Metal Gear Solid: Philanthropy or something along those lines.

Yeah, that wouldn't make sense at all.

UPDATE: I just hope they don't make any Zelda games that have someone else as the protagonist (e.g. Zelda, Ganondorf, Tar Baby, etc.). Then it's just going to be like the Mario series with a bunch of crap side games (like Luigi's Mansion, Super Duper Peach, Mario is Missing, etc.).

I doubt that would ever happen anyway. As long as the Link-player bond is present (you = Link and vice versa), then there won't be any other protagonist. However, I don't think it'd do any harm if you could play another main character for a brief moment. Remember playing as Kafei in MM? That was neat and a bit different, so I wouldn't mind seeing it happen again, only with a major character.

But yeah, the Link-player bond is what prevents it from having a different protagonist.

The only other problem with Ganondorf being a kid is that he wasn't exactly evil when he was a child. It took many years for him to become evil.

Honestly, when people release their ideas on to a site like this there is no security of ones "idea". So really there are many game designers and concept artist that search engines like this to get an idea of what fans want, and what makes sense.

Other developers might, but not Nintendo. They're still busy trying to tap the casual gamer market they created.

No they don't, they're succeeding like never before. Everyone and their dog wants a Wii so they can play 'games' like Wii Fit and Sports and whatnot. It's disgusting.

I don't like the mainstreamfocus either, but they are definately succeeding.
