Zelda fans who write Zelda+Link fics hang out at some writer forums I visit. Since Nintendo hasn't made any direct indication who Link is paired up with, they freak out at every indirect hint at Link/Zelda Ninty drops.

yeah i really enjoyed the ending of spirit tracks.

Ending...
I don't know what the big deal is, I mean everyone should have figured out that for zelda to have a daughter she must have been with link. By the way, why do zelda games never save when you beat the last boss. It makes me sooooooo mad. Also, could someone please respond to my, Zelda Games thread, or at least join my social group, Zelda vs. Naruto. (That's right BlackZero, I'm talking to you. You've already been invited.) Sheesh.

To answer your question, the reason you can't after you beat the final boss is that if it was possible you would not be able to battle boss. Then the final boss would be like all the other bosses.
