I mean how does ours even work with out rep power or a more advanced system? Ive seen this system on other boards before and what they do is the more rep(green rep) you have the higher your rep power will become for example if one guyone had a rep power of 2 and he gave rep to guytwo, guytwo's overall rep would raise 2 points(btw overall rep is how many total rep points you have.) And why do we only have 1 block available to members? It should be the more overall rep you have more bars you have. Take this chart for example:

Ok for example if you have a overall rep of 563 you would have 6 green bars and if your rep was -128 you would have 2 red bars. Its much better than what we have now imo. You think we could do that?

On one side JJAB's suggestion seems kind of cool, on the other hand rep-systems can turn into ways of fighting out personal feuds.

Very true, rep could be a new points system, a pointless (pun-tastic) scavenger hunt causing one- and 2-post threads begging for affirmation. Rep is even worse than points as it deals with the very nature of the user as opposed to just the number of posts made. It also begets scams to get the biggest rep bar (talk about ***** envy) which results in banning, which results in complaints and more anger. In case you hadn't already noticed, I don't really care too much for rep.

Very much true. Although I've gotta admit I kinda liked the point system (changing the color of your username and all).

I never really bothered with the rep system, but I do have 10 points, heh heh.

No it was there when I got unbanned. I remember it was Misspoofpoof who gave it to me. Telling me to "Respect those who are Superior to you" Still kinda makes me angry. Anyway I think were getting a little off topic.
