| | | Two Sections That I think should be added to the forums.
First, a debate section. I've already seen quite a few debate threads already, and maybe a section would be necessary. Perhaps even a sub-section that's part of the lounge?
Another section, a banned forum, (of course, part of the category "The Site") here's how it would work (in the way I think it should, however, if there is a more convenient or just overall better way, be my guest.):
Moderator posts a topic about someone getting banned. Say for instance, I was banned, then they would post a topic for me (topic title being the name of the user that was banned), supplying how long the ban would be and explaining why I would be banned. An example would go as such: Name of User: Ece Zdawg671
Duration of Ban: 3 Days
Reason: Starting an inappropriate topic
Then if a user would believe the ban was unfair, they could post in the topic, appealing it. An example would go as such:
User: I do not think Ece Zdawg671 should be banned on behalf he did not contribute to any of the problems started in the thread. He had merely posted the topic and others started to quarrel over it. Please consider unbanning him.
Then if the staff would think this is a reasonable response and the user shouldn't be banned, the banning will go unnoticed, the ban thread of that user will be locked, and forum browsing would go on, as if the banning never happened, seeing it was an unfair ban.
This would be very convenient to see why someone was banned and for how long, and reduces the problem of people posting useless topics and posts themselves, when they could just look in the banned forum.
Please consider. |

| | | I like the idea of the debate part to the forum, but I do not like the banned part of the forum. I think that if a player is banned, especially here then it is their own fault and the moderators should be left alone about it. They shouldn't have to hear a bunch of appeals when they have already made their decision. I know I would be really pissed if I banned someone for doing something that they shouldn't have done and people who weren't even there tried to appeal my decision because I know from experience that, that is what always happens when there is a part of a forum like that. The only problem I see with the debate part other than the conflicts it could cause between players is that I don't think enough good topics would be placed in it to make it worth the effort of making. An occasional debate is good for people because it makes them think(usually), but that can be in the lounge just as well as anywhere else.

| | | those are brilliant ideas...ya i think the part about the banning will give the people who were permanently banned a chance for redemption and justice (in case anyone believes that the motivator of the banning was unjust)

The ban thread idea is for convenience, quite a few people will just visit the banned forum for the convenience of seeing who gets banned. Nobody will post if the reason for the banning is completely valid. However, there's always gonna be at least one ban that someone wants to appeal. |

| | | If I may interject, a banning thread should only be posted in by moderators. |

However, PM's would suffice as well. |
