| | Well, as long as your beliefs do not interfere with the laws set up by society or the government,it should be ok. Quote:

The Bible shows that mankind was actually created to live forever on earth. We die because the original man, Adam, sinned, thereby losing perfection. (God would not create anything imperfect.) The Bible also shows that there will be a resurrection in the future for those who have died. To make an answer without going into a great deal of detail, those who choose to serve God, will be allowed to live forever on Earth, thereby fulfilling God's purpose for creating us in the first place. Those who choose not to serve Him, will not live forever on the earth. They will cease to exist. They will not go to a fiery place of torment. | Interesting, I never thought about it that way before.

| | | I guess we can all agree that Scientology is the worst and most pathetic religion (cough* cult.) out there...
Also if there really is a heaven and hell, I think most people will go to hell. Sure we do good things as well but when you compare it to the bad list... The bad list just eats up the good list, well thats what I think anyways...

You cannot say that without looking at other cults first, I believe there was a cult for a while where they worshipped human faeces and indulged in eating of it whenever possible. As to why, I didn't bother reading any farther.

| | | I don't really have any problem with Religion and people following it if it doesn't do harm and if they don't try to force their thoughts on me. I don't really approuve of them and I do question it but I would never hate anyone who just believes in God and such.
But some other things can really get out of hand like Scientology, either or not you consider it a religion or cult, it is very dangerous. They have their 'cleaning' programs that makes you pay a fortune for it and once you're in they reach their hands into your pockets and they don't let go until you're pennyless.
There are many horror stories on the internet one of the most famous being Lisa McPherson... What happened to her is really-there's not even a word for it-and there are even videos on YouTube but I'm not sure I should post this since you can see the dead bodies... It's so aweful...
Even if those things can't justify the wrong ways of Scientology, the person who 'invented' (yes INVENTED since it's a false thing) was a Sci. Fic. novelist and he did many frauds... It is clear that he only wanted to make money out of this.
Just talking of it makes me sick and really affraid on how far some can go when they brainwash people into crazy things like this.

| | | I'm a devout Rollo-ist. My entire belief system revolves around the fact that Rollo is flawless and everything should strive to be as great as him. But they can't.. so you're pretty much damned either way.

No belief is wrong, but it's okay for beliefs to conflict. If you personally have a belief that someone else's is wrong, then ACT on it. They will most certainly act back.
Everyone believes something though. Even atheists. Humans can't erase religion from the way they work, it just pops up someplace new, someplace different, and in a whole new way. I've never, ever, in my entire life met someone without an irrational belief of some kind.
