I think aligning yourself to specific group farther seperates people and besides I simply believe in Jesus and the Bible don't call me protestant or cathlic i'm CHRISTAIN. Anywho I beleive it is true that releigion is ment to keep people beleiving. Alot of people would say why live? Once we are dead we're dead. Religion comes into play there in these situations. A WELL KNOW EXAMPLE the dark ages, Europe, in the Midst of the Black Plague. Do you know what held Europe together? Religion people took confort in the posibilities of heaven. People didn't commit suicide to avoid hell "just in case" some would say but still they didn't kill themselves. Why did they even want to commit suicide? Well go research the Black Plauge!
I will say this as not to be one sided. Religion in the wrong leaders hands is a dangerous weapon possibly as bad as any nuclear bomb. Do you know what truely sparked so many different branches of Christianity? Simply someone in middle Europe printed a copy of the Bible. Only priests were allowed to read Bibles what happened next was people started to INTERPRETE the Bible in their own ways. Thats why I don't agree in stuff like saying your protestan or Roman Cathlic because EVERYONE INTERPRETES RELIGOUS BOOKS DIFFERENT.
Also being grouped like that labels you usually in a bad way. "Oh he is athiest we shouldn't hang out with him" thats just wrong. Or sorry to bring this offensive thing up Hitler even blamed an entire race/religious group for Germany's problems and one of the saddest events in the history the world took place.

PS that is also why i'm not a "labeled" religion I don't want to have people thinking i'm trying to convert them every second of my life or theirs. Also I don't go to church since you are being taught someones interpretation of the Bible I promise you more than half the time you will think different!
